Gabriel Marquez Sr.
Founder & CEO
Gabriel Marquez Sr. grew up as farm boy in El Salvador and came to the United States as a teen. With his family values of dedication, hard work, love, loyalty, and persistence he started Gabriel’s Landscaping, Inc. Over his 30+ year career Gabriel Sr. has completed projects of all types and sizes. Today as CEO of the company, Gabriel Sr. is responsible for all long term planning of the corporation. However, do not be surprise to see him on a job site every once in a while.
Gabriel’s biggest contribution to the company has been the values that he instilled within the company and all of its employees. Those values of dedication, hard work, love, loyalty, and persistence continue to be preached within the organization.
Gabriel Marquez Jr.
President
Gabriel Marquez Jr. has been part of the company since a toddler. After graduating college he built a career in construction management and worked on projects ranging between $1 million to $500 million. He was able to bring back that knowledge to Gabriel’s Companies, Inc. and allowed the company to use operational methods typically only found in large corporations. Today we implement those methods to provide more effective and efficient service solutions.
Gabriel Jr. holds a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Ball State University. He also attained a MBA, a Master’s of Real Estate, and a Master’s of Finance from DePaul University. He uses his experience and knowledge today to manage the operations and finances of the company.
Romeo Marquez Sr.
Director
Romeo Marquez is the youngest son of Gabriel Marquez Sr. Romeo has spent many summer breaks working for his father in whatever role was needed. After many summer breaks working for the company, he has learned the ins and outs of the business. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in Finance he decided to join the family business full-time.
Today Romeo is Vice President of Business Development and is responsible for building our brands, attracting new clients, and closing deals.
Juan Marquez
VP of Landscape Operations
Juan Marquez is nephew to Gabriel Marquez Sr. and got his landscape career start with his uncle at an early age. After a few years of working with his uncle Juan went off to start his own landscape company, J&J Landscaping. After many successful years on his own, an opportunity arose for Juan to become part of the Gabriel’s Inc team once again. Today Juan is VP of Landscape Operations and runs day to day operations for our landscape maintenance division. Juan holds the same values as the rest of the family and has helped further develop our culture throughout the company.
